The presented publication is a thematic study devoted to the characteristics of households, families and population constituting them. It contains information on the number, size as well as family and generational composition of households. Moreover, the publication includes information on the number and types of families, in particular on families with dependent children aged up to 24.

The data presented in the study concern the voivodship in general, and some of them also concern powiats and gminas. More important voivodship data were presented against the background of the country. In order to illustrate the scale and directions of changes that took place in the region in the last inter-census period, the results of the National Population and Housing Census 2021 were compared with the data obtained from the census conducted in 2011.

The information is presented in the form of an analytical description, enriched with tables as well as maps and charts, and also explanations of basic concepts.
