Summary:
The publication contains information concerning demographic situation, living conditions of population and the state of the economy of Podlasie presented in the form of text and tables enriched with maps and graphs. In order to better illustrate changes taking place in the region, a lot of data are presented in relation to the previous year and to 2005, and some of them – in an eight-year retrospective. The most important information concerning last two years was also shown by months. Moreover, some voivodship data were displayed against the background of the country, and some of them – against the background of other voivodships. Certain topics are also presented by powiats and by the voivodship city.
