Duties

Statistical Office in Białystok belongs to public statistic services subordinated to the Central Statistical Office and acting on the base of:

• law dated 29th June 1995 on public statistics (Journal of Laws in 2012, item 591 with later amendments),
• Statute of SO in Białystok introduced by instruction No. 12 of the President of the CSO dated 21st August 2012 (CSO Office Journal item 39 with later amendments),
• Regulation on the Organisation of Statistical Office in Białystok introduced by Regulation No. 10 by the Director of Statistical Office in Białystok dated 1st October 2012,
• law dated 21st November 2008 on civil service (Journal of Laws in 2008 No. 227, item 1505 with later amendments).

Branches' reach

Since the 1^st January 1999 Statistical Office in Białystok includes with its range of activity the territory of Podlaskie Voivodship. It realizes its duties both in  seat of Statistical Office in Białystok and in branches in Łomża and Suwałki.

Information centre

Information centres are located in the seat in Białystok (room 2) and branches in Łomża and Suwałki.

Duties:

• dissemination by telephone, correspondence and personally:
  • statistical data from publications of CSO and SO,
  • official statements of CSO and SO,
• informing about:
  • new publications of CSO and SO,
  • publications available in Office's library,
  • publications available on sale, 
• accepting orders for:
  • unpublished statistical data from SO data bases,

REGON service

Issues related to the official national register of economic entities REGON are carried in the seat in Białystok (room 8) and in the branches in Łomża and Suwałki.

The detail information on the register are available on the CSO pages.

Information on entities registered in REGON in Podlaskie Voivodship can be disseminated on written request. Information on rules of data dissemination are available on CSO page: Rules of data dissemination from the REGON register. Orders should be submitted by mail, fax or directly in the Secretariat of Statistical Office.

Support people with disabilities

Statistical Office's building is designed to support disabled persons who use wheelchairs.

Since April 2012 there is also the possibility to use the assistance of a sign language interpreter.

Complaints and suggestions

Complaints and suggestions are received in the Organization Division in Statistical Office seat every day from 7.15 to 15.15. 

Director of Statistical Office receives coplaints and suggestions in Statistical Office seat every Monday from 14.00 to 16.00.
