This work is a thematic publication focusing on the economic activity of population. It provides detailed characteristics of each category of population aged 15 years or over, i.e. employed, unemployed, and economically inactive persons. Each category is described in terms of social and demographic features such as sex, place of residence, age, or level of education. Data included in the publication concern the voivodship in general, and some facts and figures refer to powiats and gminas as well. Major data on voivodship are presented against the background of the country. To illustrate the scale and directions of changes that had taken place in the region in the last inter-census period, the results of the 2021 Census were compared with the data from the census conducted in 2011.
