The publication contains a wide set of data characterizing the living conditions of the residents and the economic situation of the region in 2016 in the spatial division. There are also overall tables showing Podlaskie Voivodship in the years 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2012–2016 as well as subregions and powiats in 2005 and 2016. Selected phenomena are shown in the graphical form of cartograms and cartodiagrams reflecting the diversity of territorial division entities comprising the voivodship. Compared with the previous edition, contents of the study have been supplemented with the population projection for gminas until 2030 prepared by the Central Statistical Office.
