We are presenting you with a next publication, which has been prepared as a cooperation of the Statistical Office in Białystok with the Association of Bialystok Functional Area. This elaboration focuses on low-carbon economy issues and is a response to the demand for statistical information concerning these topics in relation to Bialystok Functional Area. The Introduction to the publication does not only contain a summary of 5 years of Association’s activity but information concerning projects implemented within the framework of low-carbon economy and environmental protection together with activities taken up by the Association under the programme of Cities Partnership Initiative – “Air quality” network, as well as a project “Establishment of Competence Centre for renewable energy and energy efficiency in the Podlasie region: the counties of Hajnówka and Białystok.”
