The publication contains extensive statistical information, in the form of text and tables, concerning the living conditions of Bialostokian inhabitants and the state of the economy of Białystok in 2012. In order to illustrate changes and tendencies, most data are compared with the results of the analogous surveys in 2005, 2010 and 2011 and selected information was shown in a longer retrospective. Moreover, there is a table presenting Białystok against the background of other cities which are the seats of voivod or voivodship regional councils.
